Magazine Design & Branding
Yahoom Magazine is my senior capstone project as a Graphic Design student at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). The magazine explores the cultural and visual identity of Kuwait’s maritime past, drawing inspiration from Yahoom, a traditional sea chant sung by Kuwaiti pearl divers. The publication combines typography, illustration, archival imagery, and modern design techniques to bridge the past with the present. It serves as both an educational and artistic tribute to Kuwait’s forgotten sea heritage, aimed at reintroducing this history to younger generations through contemporary visual storytelling.
